“We like to think we take care of these wonderful little guys, but once they’re gone you realize it’s the other way around.”

Chris Wallace broadcast a touching tribute to his pet of 10 years, Winston, his pet of over 10 years which his family lost recently. I know exactly how he feels. There will always be a special place in my heart for my dear, beloved Riser. While the passage of time sees me well up with tears less often, they still well up. Just this morning, I came across a small item that reminded me of him. I sat there quietly, lost for a few minutes, remembering him, and his presence. See my post, June 5, 2011.
